Lirik Lagu « Jai Ho » mas Rahman

Semenjak saya menyaksikan film Slumdog Millionaire bajakan yang ada di komputer saya, baru saya menyadari bahwa A.R. Rahman adalah seorang komposer terkenal di negara penghasil film tari-tarian itu. Terlahir dengan nama A. S. Dileep Kumar, mas Rahman ini memulai karirnya di dunia soundtrack film pada awal era ’90-an. Beberapa penghargaan telah diraihnya termasuk tigabelas Filmfare Awards, empat National Fim Awards, sebuah BAFTA Awards, sebuah Golden Globe, dan dua buah Academy Awards. Hmm…

Sebelum film Slumdog Millionaire, saya juga telah menikmati karya mas Rahman berupa soundtrack film « Inside Man » bertajuk « Chaiyya Chaiyya ». Komposisi musiknya memang terasa lain ketimbang musik-musik Hindi yang lain. Terasa enak di telinga dan membuat pinggul serasa ingin ikut bergoyang.

Okey, berikut ini saya hanya ingin sekedar mendokumentasikan lirik lagu « Jai Ho » mas Rahman yang jadi soundtrack Slumdog Millionaire itu. Sepertinya harus pelan-pelan belajar melafalkan bahasa mas Rahman ini dengan seksama. Menjaga agar lidah tidak terlipat.
